NHL Rumors: Canucks Eyeing 3 Players From Rangers

The Vancouver Canucks could be targeting Vitali Kravtsov, Braden Schneider, and Nils Lundkvist from the New York Rangers.

The Rangers have been linked to both J.T. Miller and Conor Garland, so naturally, both of those players would require the Rangers to trade away at least one of their more notable prospects. Miller has more trade value than Garland, though, of course.

Kravtsov refused to play in the AHL this season and is currently back in the KHL. The 22-year-old will likely end up traded in any big splash the Rangers make from here, as it's clear both parties would best to move on from one another. The 2018 first-round pick has six goals and 13 points in 19 games with Traktor Chelyabinsk this season. In 20 career NHL games, he has two goals and two assists.

Out of the pair of defensemen, Cam Robinson noted that Schneider may be the better fit. The 6-foot-2 defenseman is very responsible in his own end and plays a heavy game. In 10 games with the Rangers this season, he has one goal and three points. He also has recorded nine assists with the Hartford Wolf Pack this season, too.

Lundkvist is currently in his rookie season with the team. After winning the Salming Trophy as the SHL's best Swedish defenseman last season, there was a lot of hype surrounding him at the start of the year. So far, his offense hasn't translated over well to the NHL, as he has just a goal and four points in 25 contests. However, he is just getting his career started and has the tools to blossom into a very good offensive defenseman.
