Goaltending Update In Nashville

After a spectacular performance between the pipes for the Nashville Predators in Game 2 of their series with the Colorado Avalanche, it appears that rookie Connor Ingram is going to get another chance at trying to steal a win for the Preds in Game 3.

Head coach John Hynes says that All-Star goalie Juuse Saros will not be ready for Game 3 as previously hoped.

While being without starter Saros once again, after his tremendous 38-win season, is a blow to the Preds' chances of advancing out of the first round, perhaps it can't hurt to have another look at Ingram. All he did in Game 2 Thurdsay night was stop 49 of 51 shots in an eventual 2-1 overtime loss. Nashville was outshot 51-26. At one point, Ingram made 49 straight saves.

Bottom line, the Preds are in tough in this matchup, no matter who stands on their head between the pipes.
