NHL Rumors: Ducks To Shop Forward

GM Pat Verbeek showed this season that the Anaheim Ducks are very much still rebuilding. Players like Hampus Lindholm, Josh Manson, and Rickard Rakell were traded at the deadline, but more selling could be on the way from here. One player to watch this offseason because of this is veteran forward Adam Henrique.

After a 21-point campaign in 45 games during the 2020-21 season, Henrique scored 19 goals and had 42 points in 58 games. Thus, he had a nice bounce-back year and helped raise his trade value in the process. This, in turn, could lead the Ducks to shop him this summer while interest in his services would be higher.

Henrique is a solid second-line center option but could also play third-line minutes on a contender if needed. He carries a $5.825 million cap hit until the end of the 2023-24 campaign, so he would be more than a rental, too. Alas, we will need to wait and see if the Ducks end up moving the 32-year-old this offseason.
