Avalanche Starting Goalie Available for Final

Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar will have a decision to make ahead of game one of the Stanley Cup Final tomorrow.

The team announced today that Kuemper is fully healthy and ready to play.

Backup goaltender Pavel Francouz has been manning the net since Kuemper went out in game one of the Western Conference Finals on May 31st.

Francouz has started in three games since the injury and has recorded a win in each. That's not to mention the three games Francouz appeared in before the injury, all of which the Avalanche won.

While Kuemper has been the team's primary starter this season, he has struggled in the playoffs thus far, posting a save percentage of .897 with a 2.65 GAA. Compare this to Francouz's .906 save percentage and 2.86 GAA and the decision for who to start in net tomorrow isn't so obvious.

The team and fans are obviously relieved to have Kuemper back and healthy, however, it remains to be seen who will be bearing the brunt of Colorado's net time in the games ahead.
