Panthers Sign Finnish Elite League MVP To Contract

"Anton is one of the most potent scoring forwards in European hockey." Those were the words of Florida Panthers GM Bill Zito as he announced the signing of Finnish forward Anton Levtchi to a one-year, entry-level contract for the coming season.

Levtchi, 26, led all Liiga skaters with 61 points on 26 goals and 35 assists over 55 regular-season games with Tappara Tampere in 2021-22. He was voted the Finnish Elite League's MVP, earning him the coveted (in Finland) "Golden Helmet."

He continued his strong play in the Liiga playoffs, leading Tappara to the league championship.

"He demonstrated his skill level during his outstanding campaign with Tappara this season and we look forward to him joining our organization," added Zito.

The 6-foot, 185 pound forward will join the Panthers for the 2022-23 season.
