Avalanche Goaltender Finished In Colorado

Earlier today, the Avalanche acquired Alexandar Georgiev from the Rangers. Now, it's been confirmed by Darren Dreger that Darcy Kuemper will not be staying with the Avalanche.

Kuemper is set to become a UFA next week, and it's clear that he has decided to test the market. The veteran netminder met with the Avalanche on Wednesday, but it's clear that nothing good came from those talks. Now, Kuemper will be looking to land himself a big deal as a free agent.

Winning a Stanley Cup will help interest in Kuemper's services increase. In 57 regular-season games this year, he sported a 37-12-4 record, .921 SV%, and 2.54 GAA. Overall, it was a solid year for the 32-year-old. Don't be surprised to see teams like the Devils, Oilers, Capitals, Sabres, and Maple Leafs take a look at him from here.
