Wild Re-Sign Future Hall of Famer

Marc-Andre Fleury is staying with the Minnesota Wild, as the future Hall of Famer has signed a two-year, $7 million contract with the team.

There was mutual interest between Fleury and the Wild to get an extension done, but it was hard to determine if it was possible. The buyout penalties of Zach Parise and Ryan Suter already forced the Wild to move Kevin Fiala earlier this offseason. However, they are at least keeping one of their stars with this nice extension for Fleury.

In 56 games last season between the Blackhawks and Wild, Fleury sported a 28-23-5 record and .908 SV%. It will be intriguing to see what the 37-year-old does for the team from here.
