Los Angeles Kings Sign Veteran Center to PTO

The Los Angeles Kings will have a new player at training camp, as Nate Thompson has signed a professional tryout contract with the team.

Thompson spent this last season with the Philadelphia Flyers, where he had one goal, two assists, and a minus-15 rating in 33 games. Yes, it was not a year to remember for the 37-year-old, but he will now hoping for the chance to have a better year as King in 2022-23.

Thompson has never been noted for his offensive ability, but his physical play could make him a decent option in the Kings' bottom six - if he makes the team, of course. He is also a familiar face, as he spent the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons with the team.

Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to see if Thompson can earn himself a contract and officially reunite with the Kings from here.
