Detroit Red Wings Place Forward on Waivers

The Detroit Red Wings have made one cut to their training camp roster. Chase Pearson has been placed on waivers.

Pearson appeared in his first three NHL games last season, where he failed to get on the scoresheet and recorded an even rating. The 6-foot-3 center primarily played with the Grands Rapid Griffins, however. In 50 games with the AHL squad, the 25-year-old had seven goals and 18 points.

Pearson could be a decent option for a team looking for a 13th forward or simply more depth in their system. We will need to wait and see if another team decides to claim him from here.
