Columbus Blue Jackets Make Roster Moves

The Columbus Blue Jackets have made some roster moves, as Elvis Merzlikins has been placed on injured reserve, while Trey Fix-Wolansky has been called up to the NHL squad.

Merzlikins' IR placement is not too surprising, as he is expected to miss the next one to two weeks at least due to an injury. However, his official IR placement gave the Blue Jackets an open roster spot, which they of course used to call up Fix-Wolansky. In nine games this season with Columbus, Merzlikins has a 2-5-0 record, .864 SV%, and 4.74 GAA.

Fix-Wolansky, on the other hand, played in his first six NHL games last season with Columbus. During them, he scored a goal and added an assist.
