NHL Rumors: Anaheim Ducks to Shop Forward

There has been plenty of buzz surrounding the Anaheim Ducks, as they are expected to be major sellers at the deadline. Players like John Klingberg, Frank Vatrano, Kevin Shattenkirk, and Adam Henrique have emerged as trade candidates, but another player we should be keeping an eye on is Max Jones.

Jones is a player who may benefit from receiving a change of scenery. The 2016 first-round pick just has not been able to find his scoring touch at the NHL level, and that has carried over to the 2022-23 season as well. In 18 games on the year thus far, he has just a goal and an assist. With the Ducks moving toward a new era in their rebuild, perhaps moving on from Jones could be something they consider.

Jones' immense physicality and toughness could lead to other teams being willing to take a chance on him. Let's see if Anaheim elects to move from here.
