NHL Rumors: Ottawa Senators Forward Likely to be Traded

The Ottawa Senators are having a disastrous 2022-23 season and will likely be sellers at the deadline once again because of it. One pending UFA who will likely see on the move because of this is Tyler Motte.

Motte is very likely to receive interest when made available, as he was a hot commodity at the deadline last season as well. In 18 games on the year thus far with the Senators, the 27-year-old forward has two goals, five assists, and a plus-1 rating. Overall, it has been a decent start to the year for the Michigan native, but it will be interesting to see how he produces offensively until the deadline.

Contenders in need of some help in their bottom six could certainly make a push for Motte at the deadline. He plays all three forward positions, kills penalties, and possesses a great work ethic, so let's see where he ends up from here.
