NHL Rumors: Buffalo Sabres Forward Becoming Trade Candidate

After a hot start to the season, the Buffalo Sabres have, unfortunately, fallen back down to Earth. At the time of this writing, they have a 7-11-0 record and have lost eight straight games. This has made them plummet in the standings, and it appears that they will once again be sellers at the deadline. One player to keep an eye on in trade talks is Vinnie Hinostroza.

Hinostroza is a pending UFA who carries an affordable $1.7 million cap hit. He certainly should get some attention in the trading market, as he is a solid third-line forward who is capable of producing fairly decent offensive totals. With that, he offers great versatility, as he can play all three forward positions.

In 11 games this season with the Sabres, Hinostroza has six assists. We will have to wait and see what happens with the 28-year-old forward from here.
