NHL Rumors: Arizona Coyotes to Trade Defenseman

The Arizona Coyotes are preparing to be sellers, which is not a surprise in the slightest. Arizona is of course in a full-on rebuild, so they will surely be shopping their pending UFAs at the deadline, As a result, one player who will likely be on the move before March 3 is Troy Stecher.

Stecher could be a decent option for a playoff team looking to add a bit of depth to their roster. The 28-year-old ended up being moved by the Detroit Red Wings to the Los Angeles Kings last season, so it does not seem too outrageous to believe that he could be dealt again. After all, he is a serviceable bottom-pairing defenseman while playing at his best.

Stecher could be had for a very cheap price, too, so it does seem likely that we will see him land elsewhere before the season is over. In 22 games this season with Arizona, he has two assists.
