Philadelphia Flyers Place Winger On Waivers

The Philadelphia Flyers have placed Kieffer Bellows on waivers.

The Flyers claimed Bellows off of waivers from the New York Islanders earlier this season, so they will have first priority to bring him back. If they do, they would freely be able to send him down to the AHL without having to put him back on the wire, so it does seem possible that they will claim him. However, if not, there definitely could be interest from teams around the league for the former first-round pick.

Bellows has struggled with the Flyers since his arrival, however, as he has zero points and a minus-4 rating in 11 games. Although he did not do much of anything since joining the team, there could be interest in him because of his past success. Keep in mind, he did record 19 points in 45 games just last season with the Islanders.

Alas, let's see what happens with Bellows from here.
