Flyers Receiving Trade Offers on Defenseman

The Philadelphia Flyers are open for business and this includes the potential of trading defenseman Ivan Provorov. According to Pierre LeBrun of TSN, the Flyers have been answering a number of calls on Provorov as they appear willing to make a move.

This isn't the first time a potential trade has transpired as Provorov's name has been linked to moves in the past. It's believed Philly didn't want to budge before when teams would call, however appear to have had a change of heart this season as the losses have stockpiled.

The 25-year-old mobile blueliner has recorded two goals and 12 assists in 41 games this season. He's second on the team in ice time and has two years remaining on his deal at $6.75 million per season.

Provorov had this to say back in May regarding media pressure

No matter what I say, you guys are gonna give me your own grades. It doesn't matter, you're all experts on hockey, so you're gonna give me your super experienced grades. I don't think my opinion really matters to you guys.

The Flyers sit with a 16-18-7 record, good for third last in the Eastern Conference.
