NHL Rumors: Blackhawks & Devils Emerging as Trading Partners

The New Jersey Devils have taken a big step forward this season, as they have a very good shot of making the playoffs this spring. Yet, even with this being so, there are definitely some holes in their lineup, and they would be wise to add a forward to their group because of it. It appears that this is an objective that they have, as they are one of the teams currently linked to Chicago Blackhawks forward Max Domi, according to the Fourth Period.

Domi has been nothing but excellent for Chicago this season, as he has been one of their top scorers and point producers. As a result, it makes sense that he is getting a lot of buzz in the rumor mill right now, as he appears to be the perfect rental candidate. While playing at his best, Domi has the ability to produce like a legitimate top-six forward, while also providing a decent degree of physicality in the process. All these elements make him a strong player to have, and he would be a solid addition to the Devils because of them.

It will be interesting to see if the Devils’ interest in Domi results in a trade centering around the forward from here. If so, he would give the Devils a pretty good boost for the postseason.
