NHL Rumors: Calgary Flames Looking to Make Big Move

It is not a big secret that the Calgary Flames are in need of some help offensively. As a result, it is not surprising to hear that the Flames are interested in Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson, according to the Fourth Period.

Anderson fits the kind of player that Flames head coach Darryl Suter loves to have. Not only does he offer solid offensive production, but he also is a power forward that never shies away from the physical side of the game. These elements of his game called allow him to be a perfect fit in Calgary‘s top six.

For the Flames to successfully acquire Anderson, they will need to offer up a notable trading package. It has been established that Montreal would prefer to keep Anderson than trade him, but if the Flames end up sending a big offer their way, it certainly seems possible that the Canadians would move him. After all, they are in a rebuilding stage.
