NHL Rumors: Ottawa Senators Linked to Penguins Defenseman

It isn't a secret that the Ottawa Senators are looking to improve their defensive group. Even with the Senators being out of a playoff spot, they are expected to bring in a defenseman at the deadline because of it. With the Pittsburgh Penguins reportedly willing to hear offers for Pierre-Olivier Joseph, there are rumblings that the Senators are expressing interest in the young defenseman.

The Penguins' defensive depth could lead Pittsburgh to part ways with Joseph if it results in them improving their roster elsewhere. Joseph has been brought up in the rumor mill often over the last few years, and the buzz is not slowing down.

Joseph would be a good fit in the Senators' top four, so there certainly could be a real match here. In 39 games this season, the 23-year-old has two goals to go along with 12 points. Let's see if he gets reunited with his brother Mathieu Joseph from here.
