3 Players Placed On Waivers

Jake Leschyshyn (New York Rangers), Jordie Benn (Toronto Maple Leafs), and Vinni Lettieri (Boston Bruins) have all been placed on waivers.

Out of this trio, Leschyshyn is the most notable. Although he has zero points and a minus-10 rating in 35 games played this season, this waiver placement is likely an indicator that Patrick Kane is on his way to New York.

Benn could certainly grab some attention on the waiver wire. The 35-year-old left-shot defenseman has appeared in 12 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, where he has one goal, one assist, and 31 hits. The 12-year veteran carries an affordable $750,000 cap hit, so teams looking for a depth option should consider him.

Lettieri was called up to the Bruins but immediately suffered a lower-body injury before he was able to make his debut. This waiver placement shows that he is ready to go, but if he clears, he will be right back in Providence. In 41 AHL games this season, he has 16 goals to go along with 21 assists.
