Detroit Red Wings Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Candidates

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players from each team who could be moved during the summer.

In this latest piece, we will be discussing the Detroit Red Wings.

Filip Zadina: When the Red Wings selected Filip Zadina with the sixth-overall pick of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, they believed that he would blossom into one of their top forwards. Yet, that has simply not happened, as he has just five points in 27 games played in his fifth NHL season. As a result, the Red Wings could look to move the former top prospect, as they have other young players who have passed him on the depth chart.

David Perron: David Perron is a veteran forward who the Red Wings could look to move this summer. After all, he will be entering the final year of his contract, and Detroit could get a decent return for the 34-year-old winger. In 68 games this season, he has 16 goals and 41 points.

Dominik Kubalik: After starting the year off on fire, Dominik Kubalik has cooled off noticeably as it has gone on. For example, over his last 20 games, he has just five points. With this notable decline in production, perhaps GM Steve Yzerman could look to move him this offseason while he still has a decent amount of value.
