Philadelphia Flyers Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Candidates

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players from each team who could be moved during the summer.

In this piece, we will be looking at the struggling Philadelphia Flyers.

Carter Hart: NHL insider Elliotte Friedman recently said that he believes that goaltender Carter Hart will be available for trade this offseason. The Flyers are set to begin a rebuild, and moving Hart would land them several future assets that would help improve it. Expect teams like the Los Angeles Kings, Buffalo Sabres, and Ottawa Senators to pursue him this summer.

Kevin Hayes: Kevin Hayes was one of the most-talked-about trade candidates leading up to the deadline, but the Flyers could not find him a new home. Now that former GM Chuck Fletcher has been fired, perhaps things will change on that front during the summer. The Columbus Blue Jackets had confirmed interest in the Massachusetts native, so perhaps something could be there. Salary would need to be retained in any Hayes move as well.

Ivan Provorov: Ivan Provorov was also a trade candidate leading uto p the deadline. Although the Flyers opted to keep him, they certainly should listen to offers for him during the offseason. They would likely land a good return for him when noting that he is a top-four defenseman, and several clubs would love to acquire him because of it.
