Arizona Coyotes Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this episode, we will be focusing on the Arizona Coyotes.

Nick Bjugstad: Nick Bjugstad was excellent for the Coyotes before his eventual trade to the Edmonton Oilers. As a result, they should consider bringing him back this offseason. He proved to be a valuable trade asset at the deadline, and he could be yet again next year if his solid play translates over to next season as well.

Andreas Johnsson: Andreas Johnsson recorded a 35-point campaign in 71 games last season with the New Jersey Devils. Yet, due to the Devils' improved forward depth this year, he spent the majority of this season in the AHL before his eventual trade to the San Jose Sharks. When noting that he was a solid secondary scorer just last season, perhaps the Coyotes could bring him in on a one-year deal. If he bounces back, he would be a decent trade asset at next year's deadline.

Brendan Lemieux: The Coyotes could look to add to their bottom six this offseason, and Brendan Lemieux stands out as a possible free-agent target for them because of it. He would give their fourth line more energy and grit, and that is never a bad thing for a rebuilding squad to have.
