Boston Bruins Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest episode, we will be focusing on the Boston Bruins.

Milan Lucic: The Bruins reportedly tried to bring Milan Lucic back to Boston before the deadline passed. With Lucic being remembered most as a Bruin, it certainly seems possible that they could sign him this offseason to a cheap deal. This is especially so when noting that bottom-six wingers Nick Foligno and Garnet Hathaway are both pending UFAs.

Luke Schenn: If Connor Clifton leaves through free agency, the Bruins are going to need to add a bottom-pairing right-shot defenseman. Due to their interest in Luke Schenn before the deadline passed, they could look to sign the veteran defenseman. He would give their blueline much more toughness and overall stability if signed.

Noel Acciari: The Bruins could consider another reunion and go after Noel Acciari this offseason as well. Tomas Nosek is a pending UFA, and Acciari could be a nice replacement for him if the former chooses to walk. Acciari has shown over the last few seasons that he can produce well playing bottom-six minutes.
