Philadelphia Flyers Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest episode, we will be looking at the Philadelphia Flyers.

Wayne Simmonds: Wayne Simmonds will forever be remembered most for his time as a Flyer, so perhaps Philadelphia could bring him in this offseason to help improve their forward depth. Given his immense NHL experience, he would be a good mentor for the Flyers' younger players. With that, it would be nice to see him retire as a member of the Flyers.

Carson Soucy: The Flyers need to strengthen their defensive group, and one player who could be on their radar this offseason because of this is Carson Soucy. The 28-year-old plays an incredibly steady game, chips in a bit offensively, and isn't afraid to throw the body around. As a result, the 6-foot-5 defenseman could be a perfect Flyer.

Danton Heinen: The Flyers could use a bit more depth in their bottom six if they hope to be more competitive next season. As a result, one player who could be on their radar is Danton Heinen. The 27-year-old has shown that he can produce fairly well in a third-line role while playing at his best, so he could be a player worth taking a chance on.
