New Jersey Devils Announce Starter Ahead Of Critical Game Three

The New Jersey Devils came into their first-round series with the Rangers brimming with confidence, but after conceding 10 goals and scoring just 2 through the first two games at home, it's become clear that some change ahead of Game Three is necessary.

According to team sources, Akira Schmid will be in net for Game 3, and will be backed up by Vitek Vanecek, the goaltender who started both Game 1 and 2, saving just 43 of 53 attempts to the high powered Rangers offence.

On the season, Schmid started in 14 games, compiling a 9-5 record with 2.13 GAA and a .922 save percentage, and as the series shifts back to New York, they need a change, and this might be the one to ignite the entire team.
