NHL Rumors: 3 Teams Expected to Target Tyler Bertuzzi This Offseason

Tyler Bertuzzi has been a solid addition for the Boston Bruins thus far, but when noting that the B's have limited cap space, there's a good chance that he will end up hitting the free-agent market. As a result, let's discuss three teams who will likely target him this summer.

Dallas Stars: The Dallas Stars have been heavily linked to Tyler Bertuzzi since before the deadline passed, and it is clear that they love the player. When noting that they need a top-six left winger, it makes sense that they want to add him to their group. Therefore, expect them to go all-in to sign him if the Bruins can't get him back.

Toronto Maple Leafs: The Toronto Maple Leafs were in on Bertuzzi before the deadline passed and have been linked to him for multiple seasons. Therefore, if he hits the open market, we should expect them to be among the clubs in the sweepstakes. Keep in mind, Michael Bunting is also a pending UFA.

Calgary Flames: The Calgary Flames need scoring. It has been a major issue all season, and it is one of the main reasons why they are fighting for their playoff lives in April. As a result, we should expect them to try to bring in a scoring winger this offseason, and Bertuzzi certainly fits that description. With that, his feisty style of play would mesh well with Calgary's identity.
