NHL Rumors: 3 Teams Expected to Target Vladimir Tarasenko This Offseason

Vladimir Tarasenko is a pending UFA, and he should get plenty of attention if he decides to hit the free-agent market. Due to this, let's discuss a few teams who could target the 31-year-old.

New York Islanders: The New York Islanders could use another top-six scoring forward, and that remains the case even after adding Bo Horvat this season. Tarasenko would be a strong option for them, as he is a legitimate top-six forward, and he has the potential to thrive on a line with Horvat and Mat Barzal. With that, he would be a major upgrade over Josh Bailey.

Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals are retooling their roster and made that abundantly clear when they were major sellers at the deadline. With them officially missing the postseason this year, expect them to look to make big moves this summer. Thus, Tarasenko is a player who could be on their radar because of it.

New Jersey Devils: The New Jersey Devils were linked to Tarasenko before the deadline passed, so they are a team to pay attention to this summer. Even after Timo Meier, there is no question that they could use another high-impact forward, and Tarasenko would provide them with just that.
