NHL Rumors: Reason Why Calgary Flames GM Left Revealed

The Calgary Flames had an incredibly poor 2022/23 campaign after such a promising season the year before, and while more changes are potentially to come, one big move that's already been made is the franchise moving on from General Manager Brad Treliving, who has served in that role since the 2014 season.

There's been plenty of speculation as to why Treliving turned down another contract in Calgary, but now, Elliotte Friedman has revealed that the major reason behind this is his desire to no longer work with veteran coach Darryl Sutter, who he reportedly wanted the organization to move on from.

The team is now searching for the next General Manager to come in and clean up the mess surrounding the franchise right now, while Treliving is already linked to some coveted jobs, so it's safe to say that if he couldn't work with Sutter, this was certainly the right move.
