Pittsburgh Penguins Rumors: Forward Becoming Trade Candidate

After failing to make the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Penguins fired several key members of their front office. Due to this, changes to the roster could be on the way, and one player who is emerging as a prime trade candidate is Jake Guentzel.

Guentzel is set to enter the final year of his contract, and he will be eligible for unrestricted free agency next summer. If he is unwilling to sign a long-term extension to stay in Pittsburgh, they will have no choice but to test his value on the trade market. After all, he is a star winger who they simply cannot afford to lose for nothing

There has not been any indication that Guentzel is ready to sign an extension with the Penguins, so we will need to wait and see what happens with him from here. If he is officially made available, look for teams like the Calgary Flames, Columbus Blue jackets, Seattle Kraken, Winnipeg Jets, and Detroit Red Wings to be some of the many clubs linked to him.
