Ottawa Senators Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Alex DeBrincat

Bruce Garrioch recently said that he believes that star forward Alex DeBrincat "has no inclination of signing" with the Ottawa Senators and could be moved at the draft because of it. If Garrioch is correct and the Senators decide to shop DeBrincat, here are three potential landing spots for him.

Calgary Flames: If the Senators shop DeBrincat, the Calgary Flames will need to enter the sweepstakes. Scoring issues were the primary reason why they missed out on the playoffs this year, so bringing in a star sniper like DeBrincat could be a great way to fix that. In 82 games this season, the 25-year-old had 27 goals and 66 points.

Pittsburgh Penguins The Pittsburgh Penguins would be a team to watch closely in the DeBrincat sweepstakes. They missed the postseason when they came into the year with high expectations and could use another top-six forward to help get things back on track. With that, Jason Zucker is a pending UFA, so they will need to replace him if he walks.

New York Islanders: Scoring issues have been a major issue for the New York Islanders for several seasons. Although they made the playoffs, it is apparent that they need a scoring winger like DeBrincat. He would be a perfect addition to their top line with Bo Horvat and Mathew Barzal.
