Philadelphia Flyers Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Tony DeAngelo

The Philadelphia Flyers have scratched Tony DeAngelo for three games in a row, and it seems possible that we will see him on the move this offseason because of it. As a result, let’s go over three potential landing spots for him.

Carolina Hurricanes: DeAngelo was simply excellent for the Carolina Hurricanes last season, and they reportedly tried to add him back to their group before the deadline passed. As a result, we should expect them to try to acquire him this offseason as well. He worked very well in their system, and they certainly could use his offensive production from the point again.

New Jersey Devils: The New Jersey Devils were linked to DeAngelo in the past, and they could consider him again when noting that Damon Severson is a pending UFA. Although the Flyers and Devils are division rivals, it is likely that Philadelphia would be willing to move DeAngelo for the right price when noting that they are rebuilding.

Montreal Canadiens: The Montreal Canadiens pursued DeAngelo when he was a free agent two summers ago, and they could be open to acquiring him now because of it. The Canadiens are hoping to be more competitive next season, and DeAngelo would provide them with a solid offensive defenseman. With that, if Montreal struggles again next season, he would be a prime rental candidate at next year’s deadline.
