Projecting The New Jersey Devils Playoff Starting Lineup

The New Jersey Devils could finish anywhere between first and third in their division this season, but it has been a season to remember regardless. The team has broken out as one of the teams to beat in the NHL with a number of breakout players. Though they have been dominant in the regular season, the playoffs won't come easy.

Fortunately, they have a strong lineup and have the potential to go deep into the playoffs. The approach the Devils are taking with their lineup is to spread the wealth out and give them threats throughout, both on forward and defence. They have altered the lines more recently, but should keep them similar to how they are right now. Only Curtis Lazar is an injured player to note and he should be kept off the Game 1 lineup because of it. Let's take a look:

Tomas Tatar - Nico Hischier - Dawson Mercer
Ondrej Palat - Jack Hughes - Jesper Bratt
Timo Meier - Erik Haula - Yegor Sharangovich
Miles Wood - Michael McLeod - Nathan Bastian

Jonas Siegenthaler - Dougie Hamilton
Ryan Graves - John Marino
Luke Hughes - Damon Severson
