Devils: 3 Top Trade Candidates Heading Into 2024

Christmas is over, and now the new year is less than one week away. Thus, over these next few days, we here at NHL Trade Rumors will discuss the three top trade candidates from each team heading into 2024.

In this latest edition of the series, we will focus our attention on the New Jersey Devils. The Devils are gearing up to be buyers at the deadline, but that does not mean that we will automatically not see some of their players dealt during the campaign. Let's go over their three top trade candidates now.

Vitek Vanecek: Vitek Vanecek could be on the move by the deadline if the Devils look to make an upgrade at the starting goalie position. Vanecek has struggled this campaign, and bringing in a more reliable goalie would be a wise move for New Jersey. Thus, he certainly could be dealt.

Alexander Holtz: If the Devils want to make a big splash at the deadline, one young forward who they could move is Alexander Holtz. Although he has had some success this season, the former top prospect does not fit into New Jersey's top six, so that could make him expendable for the right price.

Arseni Gritsyuk: Arseni Gritsyuk is a Devils prospect to watch in the rumor mill at the deadline. The Devils have a surplus of prospects, and they could be open to moving him if it means bringing in talent that will better their roster in the present.

We will now need to wait and see if any of these three Devils end up getting dealt before the deadline passes from here.
