Predators: 3 Top Trade Candidates Heading Into 2024

Christmas is over, and now the new year is less than one week away. Thus, over these next few days, we here at NHL Trade Rumors will discuss the three top trade candidates from each team heading into 2024.

In this latest edition of the series, we will focus our attention on the Nashville Predators. While the Predators have had a solid season, they still have some pretty solid players who could be on the move at the trade deadline, as they are in the middle of a retool.

Tyson Barrie: The Preds have already given Tyson Barrie permission to speak with other teams. Both the player and the team are ready to move on from one another. Barrie was unhappy about being scratched earlier this season, and teams looking for an offensive defenseman for their power play will surely call Nashville about him.

Alexandre Carrier: Alexandre Carrier is another pending unrestricted free agent who could be moved at the deadline. He has been in the rumor mill since the offseason, and there should be some interest there. He is a serviceable bottom-pairing defenseman who can play bigger minutes if needed, so there should be a market for him.

Dante Fabbro: Dante Fabbro has also come up in trade chatter this season. The Predators were listening to offers for him last season. Given his first-round pick status and good upside, there could be some clubs willing to take a look at him.
