NHL Rumors: Rangers & Blues Becoming Possible Trade Partners

The 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is rapidly approaching, much to the excitement of NHL fans. The New York Rangers are surely going to be among the league's top buyers, as they are one of the best clubs in the NHL. One need that they have is another scoring winger.

One top-six winger who has been picking up some steam in the rumor mill as of late is St. Louis Blues forward Pavel Buchenevich. If officially made available by the Blues, he would immediately become of the best trade targets in the NHL. As a result, the Rangers may have an opportunity to make up for the mistake they made when they dealt him to the Blues a few seasons ago.

Buchnevich would be a big-time addition to the Rangers' top six if he was brought back to the group. With that, he would give their power play a major boost due to his high offensive skills.

Buchnevich, 28, is having a solid season for the Blues, as he has 17 goals to go along with 39 points and a plus-10 rating. He also had 67 points in 63 games last season, so his numbers could improve while playing on a better Rangers club.

We will need to wait and see if the Rangers and Blues strike a deal centering around Buchnevich from here. It would make for quite the reunion.
