Blackhawks Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be focusing on the Chicago Blackhawks. With Connor Bedard needing more talent around him, the Blackhawks could be busy, even with them currently rebuilding.

T.J. Brodie: T.J. Brodie could be an interesting addition to the Blackhawks' blue line. It is clear that they could use a veteran left-shot defenseman in their group, and Brodie would give them that. He would be a fit in their top four and would be a great mentor for the club's younger players as they continue their rebuild.

Daniel Sprong: If the Red Wings do not re-sign Daniel Sprong, he would be a nice addition to the Blackhawks' top six. He is quietly having a strong season in Detroit and would give Bedard a sniper to work with. Along with that, he would provide a boost to their power play.

Dakota Joshua: Dakota Joshua is having a breakout season with the Vancouver Canucks. When noting that the Blackhawks could use a player with size and skill, perhaps they could take a flier on him. He would give their middle six a boost.
