Red Wings Rumors: Robby Fabbri Becoming Trade Candidate

The Detroit Red Wings have some major decisions to make this offseason. They have an abundance of pending free agents who need new contracts, and they may need to move out some money if they hope to keep all of their big ones.

Because of this, there have been rumblings over the prospect of the Red Wings shopping forward Robby Fabbri during the offseason.

Fabbri, 28, carries a $4 million cap hit until the end of the 2024-25 season. While he is still a solid top-nine forward for the Red Wings, there is no question that they would be open to moving him if it helped them keep players like Patrick Kane, Shayne Gostisbehere, and David Perron around.

If Fabbri is shopped, there could be some interest in him. This is because Fabbri is coming off of a decent 2023-24 season, where he had 18 goals to go along with 32 points in 68 games. Overall, he showed this season that he can still produce quality secondary scoring, and there could be a market for him because of it.

We will need to wait and see what happens with Fabbri. While he has been a solid player for the Red Wings, there is no question that they need more cap space if they hope to make notable moves this offseason.
