NHL Rumors: Rangers Not Done Making Moves
General manager Chris Drury made it clear that Miller is a long-term piece of the team’s core, praising his "unique combination of skill, size, and physicality."
Miller wasted no time making an impact, scoring twice in his return during a 6-3 loss to the Boston Bruins. The trade, which sent Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini, and a protected first-round pick to Vancouver, also reunites Miller with longtime friend Vincent Trocheck.
Drury acknowledged that he consulted Trocheck before finalizing the deal.

Despite the addition of Miller, Drury isn’t done reshaping the roster, according to Larry Brooks of the New York Post.
The Rangers project to have $16.5 million in trade deadline cap space, giving them flexibility to make further moves based on their performance leading up to March 7.
"I’m always exploring ways how we could be better," Drury said. With five games remaining before the two-week 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament, where Miller, Trocheck, Adam Fox, and Chris Kreider will represent Team USA, the team will assess whether additional reinforcements are needed.
Defensive depth and secondary scoring remain areas of focus as the Rangers prepare for a deep playoff push.
The Rangers currently hold a 25-23-4 record, sitting five points back of the Columbus Blue Jackets for the final Wild Card spot.
