NHL Rumors: 3 Nashville Predators Offseason Trade Candidates
After a big 2024 offseason, the Nashville Predators struggled big time in 2024-25. They finished among the worst teams in the NHL standings, and changes to their roster should be coming to their roster this summer because of it.
Due to this, let's discuss three Predators who could be traded this offseason now.
Ryan O'Reilly
O'Reilly generated plenty of interest nearing the deadline, and it would not be surprising in the slightest if teams pursued him again this offseason. When noting that O'Reilly is a high-impact two-way center with plenty of playoff experience, he could get the Predators a significant return if they elected to shop him.
Jonathan Marchessault
Marchessault has been starting to create some chatter in the rumor mill as a trade candidate. The 34-year-old winger struggled in his first season in Nashville, posting 21 goals, 56 points, and a minus-29 rating in 78 games. A change of scenery could benefit the star forward, and there are several clubs who would likely love to him in their top six.
Jeremy Lauzon
Lauzon is entering the final season of his contract in 2025-26, so he could be a player to watch this summer. The left-shot blueliner has generated interest before, and it would not be shocking if this continues over the summer. Teams value hard-hitting, tough defenseman, and Lauzon is just that.
