NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations For Andrew Mangiapane
The Washington Capitals' playoff run came to an end on May 15 following their 3-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. Now, the Capitals have some decisions to make this offseason, and that includes whether or not they will bring back pending unrestricted free agent Andrew Mangiapane.
If Mangiapane becomes a free agent this summer, there will be interest in him. Let's look at three clubs who could look to add him.
Seattle Kraken
The Kraken need more offense in their middle six, so a player like Mangiapane could interest them on a short-term deal. He could fit in nicely on their third line and would also give them another serviceable option for their power play.
Nashville Predators
After a disappointing 2024-25 season, the Predators will surely be looking to improve their forward group. Mangiapane could be a nice addition to the Predators' roster, as he would give them more production in their top nine, which is undoubtedly a major need right now.
New York Islanders
The Islanders could be another team to watch if Mangiapane becomes a free agent this summer, as they could use a bit of help in their top nine. When looking at their lineup, he could slot nicely on their third line. He would also be a candidate for power-play time because of his offensive upside.
