Panthers Also Getting Forward Back For Game 7 Against Maple Leafs
The Florida Panthers are getting back an important piece to their lineup for Game 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs as it was reported that Evan Rodrigues will be playing after missing two games with an undisclosed injury. While the Maple Leafs didn't have Matthew Knies miss any games as he was injured in Game 6, he will also be back.
It is better to have both teams at full strength and Rodrigues will take his spot on the top line back with Jesper Boqvist coming out of the lineup. Rodrigues has three assists in nine games while Boqvist has one goal and two points in nine games. He played on the fourth line until two games ago and scored after being moved up the lineup to fill the hole.
If the Panthers move on to the third round, I think we see Boqvist for some more games as he has been solid compared to what was expected of him. Rodrigues has been a consistent secondary offensive producer since coming to Florida and really came out of his shell four years ago. The Panthers are dangerous at full strength and will be against the Maple Leafs who find it very tough to win Game 7s.
Rodrigues will most definitely play a part in the game and the Panthers are fortunate to get him back for their potentially last game of the 2024-25 season as they try to defend their Stanley Cup.
