Owners Ryan and Ashley Smith expressed their enthusiasm in an NHL.com press release, highlighting the unique community-driven approach to choosing the name.
“We took an unprecedented path—conducting four rounds of fan voting, gathering input on both potential names and logos,” they said. “Utah’s passion for hockey has been incredible, from the team’s inaugural season to the overwhelming participation in shaping its identity.”
The Smiths remain committed to growing hockey in Utah, with plans to renovate the Mammoth’s home arena, the Delta Center, and build new ice rinks statewide.
The team will retain its original color scheme—Rock Black, Salt White, and Mountain Blue—and its Away jerseys, which display "Utah" in bold lettering. The Home jerseys will keep their inaugural season striping but now feature the Mammoth logo and updated shoulder patches.
Fans can purchase Mammoth-branded apparel and accessories starting Wednesday at Noon MT
