NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations For Evgenii Dadonov
The Dallas Stars have multiple pending unrestricted free agents heading into the summer, and forward Evgenii Dadonov is one of them. The 36-year-old forward had another solid year for Dallas, recording 20 goals and 40 points in 80 games.
Yet, with the Stars having limited cap space and multiple notable pending UFAs, there is a chance Dadonov will hit the free-agent on July 1. If he does, look for these three teams to target him.
Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche need more secondary offensive production, and signing Dadonov would provide them with just that. The 2007 third-round pick could be a strong addition to the Avalanche's third line and would also offer them another solid option for their second power-play unit if needed.
New Jersey Devils
The Devils could be another team to watch when it comes to Dadonov. It is no secret that they are looking to get more offense from their bottom six next season, so a player like Dadonov could make a lot of sense for them on an affordable short-term deal.
Columbus Blue Jackets
Dadonov could also be a good fit for the Blue Jackets. When looking at their roster, he could fit in nicely on their third line. Furthermore, he would also give them another veteran forward to help mentor their younger players as they look to take that next step and become a playoff team again.
