Dvorak appeared in 82 games this past season with the Montreal Canadiens, where he posted 12 goals, 21 assists, 33 points, 44 hits, and a minus-5 rating. Overall, it was a bit of a bounce-back year for the former Canadiens forward, as he had just nine points in 30 games with the Canadiens during the 2023-24 season.
When looking at the Flyers' lineup, Dvorak should fit in well in their top nine. In addition, he could very well see time on their penalty kill because of his two-way play.
The Flyers have needed help down the middle, so it is not particularly surprising that they have brought in Dvorak. He was one of the top centers who hit the free-agent market this summer, and he should be a decent addition to the Flyers' roster with this low-risk, one-year deal.
In 534 career NHL games split between the Arizona Coyotes and Canadiens, Dvorak has recorded 105 goals, 144 assists, and 249 points.
