NHL Rumors: 2 Nashville Predators Trade Candidates

The Nashville Predators disappointed big time in 2024-25, and it would not be surprising if we see them make more changes to their roster, whether that is during this summer or next season.

Because of this, let's discuss three specific Nashville players who could be on the move next.

Ryan O'Reilly

O'Reilly was talked about often in the rumor mill leading up to the 2025 NHL trade deadline, so he is a Nashville player to keep an eye on. The 34-year-old would be a valuable trade chip for the Predators if they shopped him, as he is an impactful top-six winger with excellent leadership qualities and a Stanley Cup championship on his resume. In 79 games this past season with the Predators, he recorded 21 goals, 32 assists, and 53 points.

Jonathan Marchessault

Marchessault was a popular name in the rumor mill earlier this off-season, but things have quieted down a bit on that front since. However, if the Predators once again underperform next season, it would not be particularly surprising if the Predators become open to moving Marchessault. There is no question that teams looking for a proven top-six scorer would be willing to pay a big price for a veteran like Marchessault. In 78 games last season with the Predators, he had 21 goals, 35 assists, and 56 points.
