NHL Rumors: Canucks Linked To 3 Notable Forwards

Pavel Zacha, Boston Bruins

It is no secret that the Vancouver Canucks would be wise to improve their forward group before the season is here. This is especially the case when it comes to the center position, as they need a serious upgrade at their second-line center spot.

According to The Fourth Period, the Canucks are eyeing three notable forwards, so let's take a look at each player now.

Marco Rossi, Minnesota Wild

Rossi remains a restricted free agent at this point of the summer, and more questions about his future with the Wild are only continuing to come up. He would have the potential to be a fantastic addition to the Canucks' forward group, as he took a major step forward this past season and is still only 23 years old. In 82 games in 2024-25, he had 24 goals and 60 points.

Jared McCann, Seattle Kraken

The Canucks know McCann very well, as they selected him with the 24th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, and he played his first season in Vancouver. Now, with the Canucks needing help on offense, it would be understandable if they brought him back 10 years after trading him. In 82 games last season with the Kraken, he had 22 goals and 61 points.

Pavel Zacha, Boston Bruins

Zacha has been a popular name in the rumor mill with the Bruins retooling their roster, and he could be a nice pickup for the Canucks' 2C spot. The 2015 first-round pick is well-known for his solid two-way play and has recorded at least 21 goals and 57 points in two out of the last three seasons.
