NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations For Klim Kostin
Klim Kostin is among the top remaining unrestricted free agents (UFAs) at this point of the off-season. When noting that he is a big, hard-nosed forward with past success, the possibility of him landing at least a professional tryout (PTO) is there.
Because of this, let's go over three teams who could end up signing Kostin.
Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers stand out as a prime potential landing spot for Kostin. The 26-year-old notably played his best hockey while he was with the Pacific Division club and became a nice part of their roster because of it. In 57 games with the Oilers in 2022-23, he recorded career highs with 11 goals, 10 assists, and 21 points. Could that be enough for Edmonton to consider giving him another shot on their roster? Never say never.
Chicago Blackhawks
The Blackhawks could make sense as a landing spot for Kostin. When looking at their current roster, it is fair to argue that they could use another forward with NHL experience in their bottom six. They also have plenty of cap space and could use more toughness, so Kostin could be a good fit there on a one-year deal.
Seattle Kraken
The Kraken could also be an interesting landing spot for Kostin. It is not a secret that they could use more forward depth, and bringing in a former first-round pick like Kostin could make sense for them because of it. If signed, he would give them another option to work with in their bottom six, which would not be a bad thing.
