Anaheim Ducks: Best Addition & Worst Subtraction Of 2025 NHL Offseason
The NHL season is just about here, which is undoubtedly exciting news for hockey fans. Due to this, we here at NHL Trade Rumors will be starting a series looking at each team's best addition and worst subtraction of the 2025 NHL off-season.
In this latest edition of the series, we will focus on the Anaheim Ducks. There is no question that they had themselves an eventful summer.
Best Addition: Chris Kreider
The Ducks' top offseason addition is certainly winger Chris Kreider. While the 34-year-old forward had a down year with the New York Rangers, he is a prime bounce-back candidate who should boost their offense very nicely. He will also give the Ducks more grit along with scoring, so he should be a strong addition to their roster as they look to become a playoff team again.
Worst Subtraction: Trevor Zegras
While Trevor Zegras needed a change of scenery for a good chunk of time, he is certainly a notable offseason departure for the Ducks. The 24-year-old has demonstrated in the past that he can be a legitimate top-six forward, and he could very well become a big part of the Philadelphia Flyers' roster because of it. If he thrives in Philly, the Ducks could end up regretting the move.
