NHL Trade Rumors: 2 Calgary Flames Trade Candidates Involved in Talks

The Calgary Flames remain one of the few teams to watch on the trade market, as GM Craig Conroy has some big decisions to make with his roster ahead of next season.

The Flames and Dallas Stars have been linked to deals, and the same can be said about the Montreal Canadiens and Colorado Avalanche. Conroy has a few players who are reportedly available for the right price, and now the fanbase waits to see what type of changes are ahead before training camp opens in a month or so.

Here's two Flames to keep an eye on when it comes to potential moves:

Ramus Andersson

Easy target number one. Andersson has one year left on his contract and with no extension announced on July 1, the attention has now turned to the trade market. Andersson's mobile, he can jump into the rush and he's an above-average shot-blocker. At $4.5 million AAV, Andersson's an affordable option for an onlooking team's top four next year, and he does own a six-team no-trade clause on his current deal. Keep an eye on the Dallas Stars, Ottawa Senators, and Carolina Hurricanes, who are all involved in discussions.

Nazem Kadri

Kadri was pissed off after being left off the Team Canada Olympic training camp, and even commented on their social media posts. The veteran center has a Stanley Cup pedigree and could easily push a contender over the hump next season. Kadri has four years left on his deal at $7 million AAV, and his no-movement clause changes to a 13-team no-trade clause next July. For now, Kadri could wind up with the Montreal Canadiens, or Detroit Red Wings, as two top potential landing spots.
